I have noticed that testing mercury vapor bulbs are much difficult than testing flourescent bulbs like the Reptisun 5.0. The intensity of the UVB can vary greatly just by moving the UVB meter a few centimeters in any direction. For testing purposes, I will be taking readings from directly below the center of the bulb. This bulb was brand new on October 2, 2003.
