Are you interested in adopting a bearded dragon or other reptile from us? Please ask yourself a few questions if you've never owned a reptile or are new to bearded dragons. Can you provide a loving home and the time it takes to properly care for a reptile? Can you afford to take the reptile to the vet for regular exams, fecal tests, or if it becomes ill? Can you afford to buy the proper set up and supplies, UVB bulbs, heating equipment, supplements, live prey, fresh greens, veggies, and fruit? ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ After an extensive evaluation period (usually not less than 3 months), some reptiles will be relocated from our location in Salem, Oregon. We are always looking for good homes for the reptiles we rescue. First consideration will be given to people that can come and pick up the reptiles directly from the rescue. Occasionally, we ship reptiles overnight to their new homes, but we would prefer not to. This places additional stress on the reptile, which we try to avoid. We charge an adoption fee, which we try to keep as low as possible, but realize that the fees help fund our rescue and help us to purchase equipment, enclosures, supplements, medicine, reptile food, and pay for veterinary care. If you are interested in a reptile that is currently up for adoption (see below for available reptiles) or if you are interested in joining our waiting list for a particular reptile, please send Veronica an email. We'd love to hear from you. |

Condition: Since she was housed with siblings as a young dragon she has two fingers missing. We rescued her because the owner had to move and could not keep her. No other known health problems. Clean fecal 2 months ago. She is a rather large female with beautiful orange hues. Great eater and wonderful personality. Loves interacting with owners, being held, and taken outside to play in the kiddy pool on a sunny day. Supplies included: Required supplies: Diet: Daily salad of fresh greens (spring mix), fresh vegetables and fruit. Some of her favorites include fresh strawberries, peas, carrots, watermelon, papaya, and squash. 2 - 3 times a week she will need some form of protein (live food) in addition to her daily salad. She enjoys mealworms, crickets, silkworms, hornworms and loves roaches. Sprinkle her salad with calcium powder 5 times a week, and multi vitamin every other day. Adoption fee is $50. | Age: 4 - 5 years
old (in the photo above, she is the one on the left)
Condition: She is in good health. Previously she was overweight, but is now at a much healthier weight. She is a voracious eater and will eat just about anything you put in front of her. She has some excess skin due to her weight loss. She has a great personality - but don't they all??!! :~) Supplies included: Required supplies: Diet: Daily salad of fresh greens (spring mix), fresh vegetables and fruit. Some of her favorites include fresh strawberries, peas, carrots, watermelon, papaya, and squash. 2 - 3 times a week she will need some form of protein (live food) in addition to her daily salad. She enjoys crickets, silkworms, hornworms and loves roaches. Sprinkle her salad with calcium powder 5 times a week, and multi vitamin every other day. Special considerations: Please do not feed items high in fat, like mealworms and superworms, as this will only put the weight back on and could lead to fatty liver disease. Adoption fee is $40. Comes with calcium powder, multi vitamin powder, liquid vitamin B complex, and care sheet. * We can include the 55 gallon aquarium (no lid) that she is currently housed in and her cage furnishings for an additional $50.
